Before we went shopping, we played rock ✊, paper 🖐️, scissors ✌️ to decide on our budgets:

💸 The loser receives €25
💸 The winner receives €40

We both have the same list of school supplies, and the task is to buy everything without going over our budget.

Zara won the game and received the big prize of €40. Mum was left with €25…

And now we have a very important debate:

Leti is a young lady who has a strong opinion on all the important issues. 😄

For example:
- Violets are lovely 🌸
- Hooded dresses are a must 💜
- The world is so fascinating when you're just 10 cm tall 🤍

Her fluffy fur is just begging to be cuddled, and her dark blue eyes look around curiously, searching for somewhere to rest.

And yes – she can stand all by herself, thanks to her cleverly positioned tail. 🐾

As for the hood, wear it depending on the season:
- raised right up, like a flower around the muzzle

- removed.

Leti was created as part of the "Second Childhood – Knitted Toys" project. Have a look if you’d like to bring Leti home too.

In this video, we follow in the footsteps of the Mamnik series and visit some of the locations where scenes from the story were filmed.

Together with Zvezdinka we go to the area of Tran to find out what these locations really look like. You will see the gorge of the Erma River, the impressive cliffs in the area, with. Filipovtsi with the old age home (Vrakola village in the book) and the area of the place that is presented as „Mina Zlata“ in the series.

The book „Mamnik“ is inspired by Bulgarian legends and folklore, and the action takes place mainly in the region of Transko - a region famous for its beautiful nature, mystical stories and old villages.

In the series, however, the scenes are shot in different locations in Bulgaria to recreate the atmosphere of this mysterious story.

We went on a very picturesque eco-trail that took us to the Chakar Voyvoda hut at 1932 m altitude in the Rila Mountains. It is located above Borovets.

This year we decided to visit a closer part of Greece - Halkidiki and more specifically the peninsula of Sithonia. We stayed in Neos Marmaras and one of the days we took a boat from Vourvourou and explored Diaporos Island. Another of the days we took a boat to Ammouliani Island.

The season 13 finale of "Like Two Drops of Water" took place on Sunday. Millions watched in front of the screens and another 40 000 spectators - at the stadium "Vasil Levski".
During the commercials that aired - there were other things going on in the stadium that we want to share with you. Well, it's true that 40,000 others have already seen them, and yet - it's cool to see the difference between what aired on TV and what happened in the stadium.
The stadium season ended with Veniamin as the winner and Zara was there for it!
And what was happening during the commercials? Apart from Rafe warming up the audience along with Kiko, they also sang for us:

- Veselin Marinov
- children from the children's edition of "Like Two Drops of Water" - Unicef for every child. The rendition of "The Mountains Are Coming" by a small, delicate girl with a huge voice was heartwarming!

Did your parents fill out vocabularies? In the 90's and since, filling out a lexicon was MANIA! And even though they have them ready-made in bookstores now - the real kicker is doing it yourself.
Zara, with help from her mom, made her own lexicon. She arranged the pages, wrote the questions, put stickers and stickers and it was ready to be sung by friends and acquaintances. And years from now - she will be able to look through it, read who wrote what and have fun 🙂 🙂

Mid-January, Sunday afternoon - the laziest time of the whole year 😀 😀 But, Zara feels like drawing and in the end it's better to draw even when you're lazy - instead of standing in front of the phone screen again, right?
Since Mom didn't feel like painting much - she decided on an orange cat, which reminds a lot of #Garfield 🙂 And Zara decided to go wild with a moonscape 😋

We had an awful lot of cardboard left over from a shipment we received and decided to film a DIY cardboard house video. It has a first floor - kitchen with dining room, second floor - room and bathroom, yard with swimming pool... And the furniture from the Playmobil house fits perfectly.
The size of the bottom is 30cm by 45cm, with the "living" area being 30cm by 30cm. The remaining 15cm we set aside for the yard. For everything we used stuff we had at home - apart from cardboard, we used wrapping paper for the floor, different coloured cardboard for the walls. We could have painted them, but they would have dried slowly 🙂 )

Not that it's a particularly professionally made cardboard house, but it's perfectly adequate for play.

The Lion King has been a favourite of several generations. We don't know if you know, but Zara LOVES to draw! Yes, she is visually impaired and may not recognize colors well, has to look close and always has to be outside with glasses on, BUT that doesn't stop her from drawing. Zara is a 9-year-old girl from Bulgaria with achromatopsia - the identified gene is PDE6C. The first symptoms were noticed at the age of 10 months. It was the nystagmus, then the strong sensitivity to light, later the low vision. There was a lazy eye which developed into strabismus. She doesn't see colors, she sees shades of gray and black and white.

To cope with her poor vision, she uses mini telescopic glasses to help improve her vision from 20/200 to 20/50. They can be used for both far and near viewing.

Due to light sensitivity - she needs her red tinted filter and almost always wears a hat out.

For the colours we have purchased a special filter (not Enchroma) which helps for better contrast and this ultimately helps for better colour differentiation. The filter showed about 60% improvement in color blindness tests. She also tried Colorlite lenses, but the result with them was not as good.

Zara is doing great in school, loves to draw and make videos for her YouTube channel. Sometimes she may need help with some simple things, but overall - her life is just as normal and as good as other kids her age. Zara is a 10 years old child with #achromatopsia. She is from Sofia, Bulgaria. Achromatopsia is an eye condition with symptoms like pretty low vision (20/200 with normal glasses), severe light sensitivity, color blindness, strabismus.
Although this channel has videos mainly in Bulgarian - please, do subscribe, if you want to watch videos about achromatopsia and low vision 🙂 We're doing them in English 😉

This video is about Zara's NEW mini telescopic glasses. She's using the glasses made by prof. Ahmet Temel (https://minitelescopics.com) for over 4 years now, but her old pair is already small on her face and after 4 years of use - it's proper to buy a new pair.
The video is also to thank @Project Nightfall and their charity organization, because Zara was chosen for one of their Weekly $1000 in May 2022, and Project Nightfall Organization gave us $1000 to help us with the purchase of the glasses. Thank you so much, guys!

This type of glasses are red glasses with prescription with combination of transition lenses. In their normal state, the glasses are red. We all know how red tinted lenses help with light sensitivity for people with achromatopsia. But, during the summer - red is not enough. Even with a hat. So we tried these transition glasses that get darker when there's more light. They almost get black, but you must know that the red also stops some of the UV from light, that's why they don't always get black, and also the transitioning is slower.
Yet, compared with simple red tint, with these glasses my daughter with acrhomatopsia can look directly at the Sun. This has never happened before!
